talked to land guy, he's saying unless they have original contract in hand they can't get it approved (supposedly) I have serious reservations about giving him our contract. Please give some sound advise on this. My gut says don't do it but I know y'all will give sound advise. Thanks in advance!

would y'all feel your contract could "get lost" if you gave it to them? I've told them no at this point
MAKE A COPY AND WHEN HE BRINGS YOU YOUR CHECK GIVE HIM THE REAL ONE
he already has a copy with original signatures on it. That's what makes me squirm when asked to give original. His copy has COPY written all over it.
Run your fingers over the signatures, you can tell an original from a copy most of the times because of the pressure people use when signing. Just a thought.
when we signed we used blue ink. all copies were signed in blue. His has copy written all over it.
STAND YOUR GROUND , KEEP THE REAL ONE UNTILL HE BRINGS A CHECK , HE IS REALLY WANTING TO CLOSE OR HE WOULD LET YOU GO. HANG IN THERE
