Thanks for your post, it is exciting news to hear. Is Powell Road the one that goes to Novis McCrory's place? In the last week or two, Encana permitted a horizontal well in Section 26 on some of Jackson B's place.

The flare is lighting up the sky tonight in N. Desoto on the Encana well on Burford land on Long Rd. Apparently it has gone on line. They have been fracing it for over a week

Where is Powell Rd. and Missile Base in relation to hwy 172. My family owns property in Section 26 and I am eager to know of this.

I have never heard of Hwy 172? You sure that ain't 171?

Two Dogs-----Hwy 172 runs west from Keatchie , thru Shiloh, straight into Texas.
Now to Powell Road, Its north of Logansport about 2-3 miles very near the Texas border.

Missle Base Rd is probably 2 miles east of Stonewall, toward I-49, and runs into south Caddo Parish, coming out at Keithville. (used to have a missile base on it back in the 50s and 60s).
Probably the underground silo.

Hogeyes----There are 2 Powell rds in Desoto Parish. The first one is mentioned above, and the 2nd one is a deadend end road running off of Missile Base Road. Just looked at my map and seen the reference of 2nd Powell Rd. It would be on the section lines of sec 11 and sec 14 of Township 15 Range 14.

I think the Powell Rd. everyone is referring to is the one off Missle Base Rd. There are 2 HS wells in that area. Have heard that Encana is going to drill most of the sections south of Stonewall Frierson Rd. in N. Desoto. This is very, very good news as Encana has a super reputation. They are a "class act."

Where is this in relation to Sec 31, T11, R12 or Pelican?

V---31 11 12 is in the south east of Desoto Parish. Powell road off of Missile Base rd is in the north of Desoto Parish, about 28 miles as the crow flies. The other Powell rd is north of Logansport, about the same distance from you.

There are about 15 wells, either being drilled or permitted , direct to the east of you in 11 15. There also has been a few drilled in 11 14. I went down hwy 175 toward Pelican on thursday and there is a lot of activity going on in your neck of the woods. Locations are being built, roads are graveled back in the woods and several signs are up. I know Flint is doing some of this building.
