Does anyone know anything about the rig that can be seen from the Evelyn exit on I49. I think it is a Chesapeake unit.

Old Dog, do you have an estimated S-T-R for the location or at least township-range?
T12N R11W S27 from the looks of the application. I have property in T11 R11 in several sections. You can see the rig from some of my property so I am interested in how this well turns out.
Old Dog, I just received new information and believe it might be the following well:

Nabors #30 Rig, Chesapeake, Powell 35 #1 Well, Serial #239423, S35-T12N-R11W

I have attached the well permit for your information.

thanks.
Where did you find this information. I am trying to find out what is going on with 30 - 12N - 13W
Weto, you should be able to check the Sonris website to identify permitted wells in your area. Then check each permitted well to determine if the well has spudded and is currently being drilled.
I believe that you are correct, Les B. It is definitely not 27-12-11. We have property in section 27 and just signed with Chesapeake this month. A public hearing was held on January 27 to discuss forming units in sections 27, 34, and 35. The rig drilling sec 35 is on Hwy 510 close to Ranch Rd PD. We haven't heard anything yet on where they are going to put the rig in sec 27 and not sure what is going on in sec 34. We drove out there today and also noticed another pad site being built 3/4 - 1 mile from this. Does anyone know who's pad site this is??? We leased sec 27 to Chesapeake and sec 26 to Petrohawk. So, I would assume it would be one of these 2.
I just looked back at the map on Sonris and I am almost positive that this new site is in 26-12-11 and that it will be Petrohawk's. The public hearing is set for March 24. =)
Hi,
Would you (or anyone else) know what the going rates are for Cheseapeake leases in S27? We have just been approached by Chesapeake. Would appreciate any information and any advice on contract amendments I'm new to this and am trying to help my mother. Thanks very much. - Gayle
I noticed last night the rig was no longer there. Seems like a short time period from setup to tear down.
I hope that's not a bad sign.
