They certainly wasted a lot of paper and money, but the Post Office can use the money. Sad to say, but I'm sure that some folks have been taken advantage of by folks like these. It's like the late folk singer Woodie Guthrie said, "Some folks will rob you with a six-gun and some with a fountain pen."
Keenan,

Wasn't it Dylan who said that? Memory gets a bit foggy in old age, eh ? LOL

My phone #'s in the phone book. Give me a call sometime and we'll talk O&G 'bout Section 16. Been keeping up with all this stuff for quite some time now.
They defiantly are wasting their time. My uncle called them and told them if they added 6 zeros to the end and included two more check in the same amount, he might consider it. What we should all do is send their paper back ripped up in their self addressed envelope, just to waste their time and money.
yep, I just filled the envelope up with all the junk mail I recieved from the last week and sent that back. Saving our landfills..lol
Oh, that's priceless. LOL
Redneck Girl , That what Im talking about , more $$$$$$$$$$

Got that offer. Dropped it into the recycle can on the way into the house.
Get them AT LEAST once a year....got two in a week's time last week. They aren't even my Sections. Seems that could be dangerous. You could actually sign a check for someone else's Section. I hope NO ONE falls for this, however they have been sending these letters for years. Did yours come with a "Mineral and Royalty Deed" attached?
'
I know they have been trying this scam for years, my aunt cautioned me about getting these letters. I know my sister received two in the same day. I didn't even open mine, just threw it in the fire pit.
Think so, but only glanced briefly.
