Skip, isn't the Baker Lime an oil formation
Susie, based on depth it could very well be.  I'm swamped and just tossing this new unit out there to make sure that some member notices and follows developments.  When I get caught up I'll try to do more research.  I look at unit apps and drilling permits daily and this app just jumped out at me.  One Baker Lime Unit was of mild interest, two bears monitoring.
The document makes specific comment regarding oil production allowable, so my guess is oil.  I'm curious if the proposed unit is being placed to allow a few long horizontals oriented east-west, or if it would be a vertical development.
dbob, I suggest that you look in the archives for the first Baker Lime Unit, review that app and check to see if a well has been permitted or spud in the unit.  If memory serves, it was also in DeSoto Parish but in the Logansport Field.
