David,
I'm in Sect 26-11-11. We're neighbors. I don't know of any activity except for the recent feasibility studies by CGGVERITAS. I have heard that the seismic data was favorable, but who knows? And who cares? --with the worthlessness of natural gas these days. Maybe things will get better.

Since I am out of state, have you seen any rigs lately, been approached by any land-men or made an offer to lease??? I heard (through the gossip line…of course!) that CGGVERITAS located a rather large pocket and was trying to keep the matter rather quiet. Please confirm!
Mr. Landman:

Tell me what you proposing?
David,
Sorry about the delay in responding. I just rolled in from New Mexico. I must've heard the same rumor that you heard. Vague, but hopeful. I wish I could tell you more. The only activity I've seen is an old workover rig west of I-49 at the Evelyn exit. No rigs. No landmen. Just rumors.
George:

Thanks for the update!

It seems by your comment here on the DeSoto Parish group that you are in the o/g industry. But you started a Discussion in the Sabine Parish group that made it appear that you are NOT in the o/g industry.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
