While I have the mineral rights to some land in Desoto (section 8, township 13n, range 12w) I do not own the land itself. I was wondering if anyone in this area have been contacted about seismic testing or any other activity.

Thanks

The outfit who wants to do the testing needs an agreemant with the surface owner- for the right to tresspass. They can do this without an agreement with the mineral rights owner.
Thank you for the response. I do understand this. This is why I was asking if anyone in this section had been contacted regarding seismic testing. I am not expecting any contact regarding seismic testing as my mineral rights are located underneath Interstated 49. I know that a well permit has been processed for neighboring section 7. I was hoping for any information on activity in section 8.
CGGV is working on getting permits from l/o to survey 700 square miles. This fact is a clue that the seismic info will cover a large region. It offers no indication of future drilling in any particular spot.
