Shell has placed the Harris 19 #H1 Well on production two years after being drilled in 3rd Qtr 2008.  The time lag was related to waiting on a pipeline treating facilities before being able to begin production of the well.

Shell, Harris 19 #1 Well, Serial #237373, S19-T11N-R12W, DeSoto Parish, 3999 Mcfd, 22/64" Choke, 5221 psi Flowing Pressure

Not the pipeline the pipeline has been in place for a long time. The well was frac'ed into smackover. The H2S in the well was too high. For a while they were thinking of plugging. They had to treat the gas with a special chemical. Supposedly experimental. That is the reason for the low allowables.

Crunchy, thanks for the clarification.

Crunchy,

Let's hope that SWEPI goes ahead with the other 8 wells they showed in a recent unit application.  After all the delays and craziness on this well, the people in that section deserve some good production.

We were on the Harris site right before Thanksgiving, and it was very active.

Treatment facilities are extensive, possibly for other wells in the area with the same H2S problems.

What is the correct Mcfd?

The numbers are correct.

H2S is a slight problem is some of the wells.Conventional treatment is ok for those.

Harris 19  just really messed up. Fracing error. There was a super high content of H2S. They add a chemical that takes the out the bad stuff. Other wells in the area should be fine as long as the operator doesn't mess up.

Henry my fingers and toes are crossed on those applications. I have been watching Sonris. I was told drill date of Feb. and April. Some are into Bossier. We will see.
