I just received a shut-in-royalty on a lease that I have with Chesapeake covering mineral rights in Section 6 T12N R11W (Red River Bull Bayou - Naborton area).  Am I correct in assuming they are doing this because there is no pipeline available to get the gas to market?

A response will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that would be correct. They are currently working on getting all the signatures required to start laying pipe, at least in section 27 T12N R11W. We received our shut-in-royalty payment recently as well. This was second one that we have received; the other was received in December. We have just signed our pipeline agreement, but I know that they are waiting on at least 1 or 2 more to sign in our section (27).
I heard that they were having some trouble with some of the landowners in the Naborton area. Sure hope everything works out to our advantage. Good luck with your section.........

Thanks for your quick response,
Linda
I received a shut-in-royalty for Section 30, 12N, 13W this week (Spider Field, on 84 West of Mansfield). It is my understanding that the right-of-way has been bought for the pipeline that is to go across Sections 25 and 30.
Hey Lawrence,
