RRW,
That's the norm. My well started producing in July of 2009. We got Division Orders in November and the first royalty check in December which includes royalties back to the start of production.
Not to worry.

RRW,

Check out "Unleased Mineral Owner" GHS group per Chk "Division Order." We just received Chk's DO document in October on well producing since June 2010. Louisiana is allowing alot of leeway in paperwork, reporting, etc. as not enough hands to do everything all at once. You may send Chk your NAME, ADDRESS, SOCIAL SECURITY # , and info concerning your Well Serial, STR and I would include legal discription of landl. That is all you need to do to receive payment. I would send info certified, signed receipt mail. Be sure to read the information on GHS per La Divison Orders before you do anything.

We had a well go into production in april of 2010...we just received division orders last week....we should get first royality payment for april-sept 2010 nov 1, they told me checks go out the last day of the month...they also told me they keep two months in arears at all times. We are leased with comstock
