Yep, there sure is Lucky....
As the "crow flies", I'm about 3 miles from the Houston County Line in 2 directions...West and North...and there are wells in both directions. Eastham is about 4 miles to my West and Weldon is about 6 miles via FM 230...but closer in direct line of sight. Maybe the big boys will cross the county line into the Kittrell area this year or next....meanwhile, I'll just keep fiddlin' and watchin' the cows get fat...it makes for great entertainment!!!

2 years ago was a train wreck for the cattle business due to the drought...lots of mamma cows went to the auction if they were over 7 years old. Great to hear about the 5 new wells permitted in Houston County. I reckon the current lease holders in those areas will either allow their leases to expire, sell the leases or renew them depending on the chances they see for exploration in their respective time periods. We shall see if they jump the river or ease across the county line...there's no doubt that production possibilities are in our area. Just gotta wait'em out while they finish up in HC and other adjacent areas.
I was told third party that there is still some interest in leasing public land. My guess is that there will be more drilling and more interest. Glad there is some hay in the pasture and water in the stock pond.
