North Tyler County Leasing
Is anyone familiar with a Colt Exploration obtaining leases between Chester and Colmesneil? Rumor indicates that they are in the early stages of accumulating a 40,000 acre position.

Colt is a lease broker group (see link below) who are almost certainly leasing for a third party operator who wants to remain in the background during the leasing process.

XTO basically left the Houston Trinity County area two years ago except for a few wells with leases near them. Starting in July they began taking their two year options on a few leases. Seems they still want to be a player in our area. Always reminds me of a chess game.
