Nothing going on in my backyard so I took a drive down Hwy 21 today. Saw 2 drilling rigs set up very close to the highway about 5 miles south of Madisonville. Also saw some NEW old time pumps had been placed on sites and were pumping. The oil business is definitely alive and well all the way from Madisonville to Bryan.

Vernon, I'm glad you started a discussion on the pipeline because it's an important topic but I would suggest that you move it from the "Texas" page to this group (nobody goes there much anymore... it was our very first "NOT Louisiana" group on Go Haynesville Shale before we started any county and district pages). You are more likely to get responses over here.
PS: I don't think anyone in this group much cares if you "hijack" a thread. Our conversations are sort of like breakfast at the local diner. They recently completed a horizontal buda well in madison county. I would be happy to be leased by them if i had minerals in you area.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
