Well again Thanks for all the help. Well the Gas Co. has had a landman on the job. He has been busy. Sent me my Proof of Heirship papers to sign and have notarized. I did and mailed them off. So what happens next? One of the heirs said there has to be a court date where the attorney over the Receivership Account has to go and present our papers. Is that what happens. If not what is next? Again we hear a lot and really do not know what to expect or do, but wait until we hear from someone. We all filled out the proof of heirship papers like the one you or someone sent us. But the Petro Landman typed up their own. Which helped a lot. What all will we have to get together besides that? Thanks

If there is a receivership in place, then yes there needs to be a court hearing where your interest is presented so that the court can close the receivership as to your interest.  In my opinion, you should get a lawyer to represent your interests and get the hearing set.  Otherwise, you will be waiting on someone else to get the ball rolling.  You can hire a good estate attorney for a very reasonable fee in the county seat your land is in, as that should be where the receivership is open.
Can you recommend anyone in or around Shelbyville or Center Texas. We are waiting and waiting and waiting to close all of this. the Receivership attorney will not return anyones calls.
