Many years ago, our Church was given a mineral interest in some land in Marion County.  Our interest is  2.16+ net acres out of a 285.50 acre tract..  A landman has offered a 3 year lease at $150/acre and 3/16 royalty.  What is the wisdom of the group on this offer?

butch they are paying 200.00 per ac for 3 years.with a 2 year option for 200.00 more 1/5 royalty

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
