I'm hearing XTO wants the total Township...............
Bird. what township are you referring to? Are you located in Natchitoches Parish
It is in N W Natchoches Parish, on Rocks Creek Road.
I'm in Section 7 of Natchitoches Parish, where are U?
sec 12 range 6 w.....further east
XTO is leasing properties in 10 / 10............
Bird, thanks as this is excellent news. XTO must have gotten wind of some information concerning the Shell wells.
Bird,
XTO initially drafted a contract with a broker (David Hall, Divine Minerals) for a Pool of 10 members in 32-10-10 off Rocks Creek Rd. XTO offered
12,900 an acre. However, with the recent fall in their stock on wall street....they have
continued to delay and stall on signing the deal. The broker wanted everyone in the pool to sign a contract so he could hire an attorney, Robert Thompson, III. He's a CONTRACT ATTORNEY.....read my posts on the Sabine Parish forum to find out more. It's too long of a story. Nonetheless, the deal hasn't closed....and people are scrambling to get XTO to follow through with what they agreed upon in the meetings with the broker. XTO is probably interested but they are presently in no place to borrow on credit to finalize deals which were in the works. As soon as the election is over.....the economy will probably pick up......oil companies will have more money to borrow, etc. My best friend's husband is retired geologist from Conoco. He thinks things will pick back up. He said the
land owners who were offered premium $$$$ for acreage need not panic......the oil companies will return.....once the stock market issues are resolved.
XTO has come with a counter offer of $6,400, It seems that this offer was made after the suit was filed by the attorney's. Two of the groups that had a offer from XTO, was made well before the economy went south, and they have not followed thru with either offer.
i think i would consider taking the counter offer. chesapeake was the one who started this leasing frenzy paying unheard of amounts, now the co is almost bankrupt. we had property in sabine and natchitoches parish and leased both well below the $6500 and now have a well staked on both properties. we must all remember the real money is in production.
Our family has 40 acres in Desoto Parish/Logansport, La. Section 13-Townshipo North Range 16 West. Any idea if XTO & or Petrohawk will be putting any new wells in this area anytime soon. Thanks much rplilar@hotmail.com
Has anyone heard anything from XTO in the last several weeks? Seems to be pretty quiet in this area? Does anyone know what's up? Are all the players waiting on Messenger results?
