Natch,
I went down to Black Lake yesterday and I noticed that the siesmic work has now extended all the way into the town of Bienville. Every time I go it seems the shoot is getting bigger. I guess there is probably more than one shoot going on. But all the siesmic going on in Natchitoches, Bienville and Winn Parishes sure covers a huge area. Would have to think that it some bring some interesting things in the future.

Heard from a good source (she lives in the area) that around the Goldonna, LA area quite a bit of siesmic blasts occurred during Sunday, Nov. 9. Chatted with another lady today and she stated siesmic work was being performed around the Castor, La area within the last couple of days.

Hope they come to the Black Lake bridge area too. Not blasting, drilling. But I am afraid that will be a few years down the road.

I just received a request from Porter & Associates in Shreveport for access and surface use for soil and environment testing for lignite. Have few acres 2 miles north of Creston. Anyone received such offer? Would be interested in comparing rates. thx

Grayling, thanks for the reference. Porter has pulled back on access and now, verbally, has requested a lease. Contact there said company they represented wanted to lease a 3000-acre block. Would like to know if other land owners have been contacted and what offers have been....dish4me
