Sanchez just applied for the first permits in Pike County which I have some acreage in. Does anyone have any idea what Sanchez time frame to get to Pike County might be??
Docket No. 544-2014-D by Sanchez Oil & Gas Corp. A 1927 acre oil unit situated in Sections 22, 27 and 34 - 1N - 7E with permit to drill two wells, Elarton No. 1H and 2H with the right to drill up to six additional increased density wells.
Docket No. 545-2014-D by Sanchez Oil & Gas Corp. A 1918 acre oil unit situated in Sections 5, 8 and 17 - 1N - 7E with permit to drill two wells, Terrys Creek No. 1H and 2H with the right to drill up to six additional increased density wells.
Docket No. 546-2014-D by Sanchez Oil & Gas Corp. A 1918.2 acre oil unit situated in Sections 21, 28 and 33 - 1N - 7E with permit to drill two wells, Sand Rock Hill No. 1H & 2H with the right to drill up to six additional increased density wells.
These are unit applications that will be heard on the September docket. Later in the month the result of the hearing will be published.
As indicated the oil units are approx 1900 acres or 3-sections(640 acres) in size.
This implies the unit will include all land in the three sections. Our O&G mineral lease is in Section 34 and leased to Goodrich. How does a landowner determine if the proposed permit includes
our leased acres? In advance, thanks for any info. doug
The s-t-r descriptions included in the MS O&G Board docket unit applicatons indicate that all or a portion of the listed sections are included in the proposed unit boundary. When a unit is approved and a plat becomes available it will be much easier to determine what tracts are included in the unit. These Sanchez units do not list irregular sections so it is likely that they are just as listed, and as you suggest, all inclusive of three regular sections.
