well i ask on here then, about if the o/g was heading dn to the chinquepin area, not worried about the bonus, we just wonder what was going to happen in this area. didnt mean to butt in on j discussion
That's ok William. Chinquepin area and all along Hwy 103 people are waiting for drilling activity. It is my understanding that a number of leases were taken in the area in 2008. Keep an eye out for information on Encana's Blaskstone well. It is the most southerly well drilling in San Augustine County and I think it will be important to the area going forward.
if a landman comes and tells you that 2 out 5 heirs have sign the lease, will he have to tell who it is if asked, and tell which section of land it is if asked, and will you have to agree to the lease terms the other 2 have sign, if they did? lots of questions lol
No. No. And, No. But if he/she didn't answer the first two and give me a way to confirm, I wouldn't deal with them in the future. You make your own lease terms and it has nothing to do with what other heirs/undivided mineral interests do. Don't get in too much of a hurry. You've already found the place to ask questions. The E. TX. members are on top of development activity and can give you specifics. Good :Luck!
Also, I'd try to look up those other heirs to see what they signed for. You can bet the neighbors are all getting these offers, also, so if you live in the area start networking with your neighbors. Just don't get in a big hurry and don't let anyone pressure you. If you don't live in the area just keep posting here and hopefully someone with information will find you. It might help if you tell us which survey/abstract your minerals are in.
thanks alot. we have our m/r goals set here on our place for when they come calling. its my mother and her family they called and offered 1000 p/a. which i think is way off. the first time they called they offered 1000 p/a and the second time they called was with another heir, thats when they said 2 others have sign and my mom called me. myself i think they trying to take advantage of them. so they will ask him next time to call me.and i have a list of questions to ask or no thanks. so thanks once again my fellow shalers
dont sign that lease bonus money should be 15k is what i got with 27 per royalty
What county, survey and company, Jerry?
Also, when did this transaction take place?

Congrats on your good terms, by the way, but it would be helpful to hear from you whether your deal was cut recently or back during the frenzy of mid-2008.
Jerry Smith,
Super!!
Please give us more information. Which county, survey, abstract and OG?
Jerry, If this is in San Augustine it could be a "game changer" for your area.
Congratulations Jerry! Please tell us more...................
On Dec 6 '09 Jerry wrote:"I be glad when they get to my survey 139" Earlier in the year he wrote that he's 5 miles NW of Kardell. I hope this news is true. Survey 139 is the JJ Henniss off FM711 NW of town.
