The super pad is completed on the back of my place.  The signs are up for 3 of the 4 wells to be drilled.  They are the Davis, Weeks and Brown.  These are Exco wells.  We were told drilling is scheduled for January on the first but earlier.  The 8 acre pad sits on 5.7 acres of my property, the remainder is on relatives property.

The experience so far has been for the most part very good.  Select and Exco have been good to work with.  I know the drilling process will be less pleasant with the noise and activity but we can put up with that,  This has been very exciting for us and watching the preparation is very interesting.  I am not very good with the camera but I thought you might enjoy seeing it.

Thanks for the report, Suzanne. Your camera skills are fine and will only get better with exercise so keep us updated with more pictures when drilling commences.
Do you know what surveys will be included in the unit?
Are they drilling north or south?
AM Davis, WA Weeks, EG Fitzgerald, and EW Brown. They are drilling South. The Davis is scheduled for March and the Weeks May. The Brown and Fitzgerald are not yet scheduled. They said the schedule could change. We were originally told the first would drill in January.
Thanks for the info.

Hello cousin, the Fitzgerald SU was completed in August 2011, which I'm sure your aware of, with production beginning the same month.  We've not yet received Division Orders.

Hey there cuz!  They ended up drilling the Fitzgerald on another location rather than the one here.  All the wells are complete now and online now.  Division orders were issued on the Davis and should be forthcoming on the Weeks some.  Good to hear from you!

Davis, Weeks and Brown.... Wooooo! Wooooo!

Just got a D.O. for Weeks... more to come hopefully with additional 'Super Pads' and wells to follow!

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
