Buckley Survey ~ 2 miles from Airken and 4 miles east of Martinsville--It was premitted as James Lime but was drilled to 12.000 + vertical then 4000' H leg into haynesville shale. Surprized no addmentment to drilling premit at the rrc. I hear this talk locally about this well. Rumor to have high excellent presure and made great well. Does anyone online have any scout in area to comfirm this to be true?

Do you know the ID #?
API # 419-31344 if that helps you
That well is just west of some pretty good Cabot wells in the Timberstar lease. Not half a mile hardly from one of them.
The Timberstar wells of COG are James Lime H wells at vertical depth of ~ 7000'. The rumor is the Common Resources River 877 well was drilled to 12,000' vertical with 4000' H leg in the shale. The question is can any one with scout in area with knowledge confirm this well to be a shale well???
i reported this weeks ago that according to the drill sup. it was drilled to the hayns. if he doesnt know who would .
If you know the drilling sup. please update results on initial production, pressure, segments fac. etc. depth drilled vertically before H leg and lenght of leg. How thick is Shale at this location?---THANKS I am sorry missed your prior report where can I find you're disscussion
CANT RELAY ALL INFO BUT CAN TELL IT WAS VERY THICK ACCORDING TO HIM. SOMETIMES YOUR JUST LUCKY TO GET ANY INFO STRAIGHT THESE DAYS .BY THE WAY I THINK THEY FILED ANOTHER PERMIT TODAY ALSO SOMEWHERE SOUTHWARD OF CENTER
HAVENT LOOKED AT PERMITS YET TODAY
Southward of Center? Is the South you're talking about down Hwy 96, then east on FM 417; east of 417 off FM 2140 toward Neuville? Just curious.....can't seem to find out what gas wells are being planned in that area and how many have been drilled and what they are producing..... Also, are any plans being made for drilling in the Haynesville Shale Play in this area? I can't make "hide nor hair" of anything that I look up on the Texas Railroad Commission site.....I'm only a "little ole" school teacher. lol
Aiken is out hwy 7 west. to get to the area where most of these Timberstar wells are and the one adubu is referring to go out hwy 7 west to the aiken area and turn left. this puts you going south toward sa county line.
whole area south and north of hwy 7 past about 9-10 miles west of Center is hot.

Where is your property, what survey is it in?
Hi, Interpid,
I guess, when I heard South of Center, my "antennae" went up......Yes, I do know where Aiken is.....Being from the Center/Shelbyville area, I've been down Hwy. 7 many times. I think of Hwy. 96 from Center to San Augustine as being South of Center......I thought that I had discovered some information that would be encouraging. In retrospect, I guess it's more Southeast of Center.
My property is in the C.C. Tutt Survey, A -726 and the M.M. Van Survey in
Shelby County. My dad always referred to the tract as being in the C. C. Tutt Survey. The property is directly East of Choice (no sign saying Choice on FM 417 & FM 2140) and yes we do have some activity going on over there.....but, no showing of royalties as of this writing.......Have had a lease with Hunt Petroleum (Lease now under XTO) for almost two years now. Have had encouragement several times only to have the dates come and go leading to discouragement again.....I've been teaching for some 20+ years and would love to retire. With the economy in the shape that it is in, unfortunately, I'm afraid to retire. Anxiety is an everyday thing for me.....hoping that something will come of all the talk about this area being lucrative..... If you hear of anything concerning this area, I would love to hear from you. I try and keep up with what's going on by getting on GoHaynesvilleShale everyday, several times a day, and through the Tyler Paper which gives some information on it's web site concerning East Texas Drilling. That's how I found out what Natural Gas well had been drilled in our area and what it was supposedly producing. All companies concerned seem to be pretty tight lipped most of the time. I do have a source that I can talk with; however, they are not privy to all the information that I would like to find out. Oh, well, they will soon find out (if they haven't all ready found out) I don't give up too easily without some answers. I think they've already found out; but they tolerate me anyway. At least, they still answer my calls and e-mails in a timely manner. I just wish they could tell me what I want to hear when I want to hear it. lol
Yes, I know where Choice is and I would also call that "south of Center". Aiken would be southwest of Center. adubu is correct below when he recommends you spend some time on the RRC website to get comfortable navigating it. I'm still learning things about it but the more you look at it the quicker you will pick it up.

There is a permitted location in that CC Tutt Survey that is about 802 ac called the George unit by Hunt approved in 8/08 API# 419-31333.

If that is the well you are looking for you can look it up with that number on the RRC website.

Good luck and ask questions anytime on here. Someone can give you some info about just about anything.
To the "little ole 1st grade teacher" I am assigning you home work, since you are retired and just maybe have some free time on some days I recommend you spend few hours on the RRC of Texas site and follow the tutorials on the site on how to use and find lots of information. They are excellent and easily followed. If you would repeat the tutorial several times on different days repeatly and then use that to look up what you may wants. It is loaded with infomation on every well premitted in Texas since 1993 then with time after well is completed several months later depth drilled production etc all can be read. When well is premitted that day it is listed-location--depth plan to be drilled and formations--vertical or H--#acres in unit--operator E&G--P-12 list of all mineral owners in the unit, etc. Then can look on the Public GIS map and see it. This is the best site on the web for anyone intersested in oil & gas in Texas.s
