How do you properly read the Permit Date on the All Wells by Parish report? They don't make sense to me, unless they go all the way back to the early 20th century.

I'm not sure if I understand your question.

If you click on to the all wells by Parish link, it will bring up a field for you to input the beginning date, ending date and Parish for your query. You can determine how much information you would like to receive based on what you enter into the fields.

The all wells by parish has a drop down window to pick the parish. If you look at the Natchitoches one, line 10 lists as the date 19-OCT-17. That's what I'm asking about.

Yes that well is from October 19, 1917.

If you are looking for recent permits, check a little further up in the section you will find "Permitted Wells by Parish", you can enter your query there.
