So I just received a notice for a proposed unit.

Now the part i do not understand is that my acreage is not within the unit but my east property line is the units west line.

Did I get this just because I am an adjacent land owner?

Also, what are the chances of them forming another unit directly to the west that would include my little piece of ground?

Unit applications require notice to all mineral interests of record within the proposed unit boundary and those adjoining to a distance of 1000'.  That's the reason you are on the Interested Party list filed with the unit application.  If the wells in your area are sufficiently productive you should be included in a future unit.
