I'm green to gas and oil mining and I have some questions that maybe some of you can answer. I live in the neighborhood  Willowpointe that backs up to slider 1 and 2 of the Lockhart Crossing field in question. My home backs up to the wood-line. In the last week they have been doing what I found out was a burnoff. it sounds like a jet burner. It's very loud to the point that when it's going full blast I can hear it in my home. Is this something that will continue, or is this just a temporary thing? What exactly are they burning off? is it harmful? have you ever seen an oil company put up a sound barrier to lessen noise? It's terrible.

Aaron,

It should be temporary. They maybe clearing mud and debris from the well bore. That should not take more than a few hours or a day at the most. Most production testing is done to the line. Hope this helps. Must be a good well.
