Rumers that Questar paid 2500/acre near gravel pit just south of Sand Hill Rd., not far from Claiborne Parish line. May not be related to HS; but still very good. Does anyone know if this is true or if there is any leasing happening here?

Don't know for sure but I do know that the Haynesville Shale is the only formation around here that has garnered that type of money !
I have heard that a cousin of mine did lease his land. He is Gary Sextton, sherriff of Webster Parish. I heard the same $ as you. I will be going to Shongaloo in few weeks and will report on what I learn. The land is about a half mile from my land. Gary and Phillip Baker bought the land together I think and divided it several years ago. Phillip offered to lease it to me several years ago but I turned him down. That was "before Haynes-
ville shale production." I believe Haynesville shale will the only productive formation
in that location. But, that is only my opinion. Our land is held by production
It would be interesting to know if any of these leases had any depth clauses or specifics to the Haynesville Shale.
I own property near the gravel pit and have not been contacted. However, I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for info.
Nadel&Gussman evidently have some interest in the Shongaloo Field, CV RA and HA RB:

This looks like they are trying to unitize 2 sections and half of 2 others. What would be the benefit of this?
They are just creating 3 new drilling units consisting of looks like 320 acres.

In reviewing Bill Flemings letter I noticed they did not have pre-conference since no landowner requested one. WHY? WHY? Had I recieved notice I would have requested one even though I live in Arizona. My land is not close enough for them to be required to send me notice. Did any of you get notice from Bill's office? By the way he is a superb O&G attorney.

Come on, my Shongaloo friends and neighbors. Request those hearings and attend.
Do you have Mr. Flemings contact info? He may not be interested but SWAMO will be seeking legal advice for our group. I had really hoped that with as many attorneys that are in the parish that one would feel like helping his neighbors for a slightly smaller then usual fee. I have heard nothing but good from and about you Mr. Sanders and appreciate your recomendation of Mr Fleming. Any help that we can get we use. That last part didn't sound right but I meant it right.
Bill Fleming is with the law firm Hargrove, Smelley, Strickland
Langley. Phone # 318-429-7200. I have known Bill a long time. He is a straight arrow. He has done some work for me. It is likely that he might have conflict of interest as he represents so many big companies, but it is worth a phone call. Sorry I don't have his direct phone number at hand. Will send you that when I come accross it. Most of my land north of gravel pit is leased but only for Smackover. One unit is leased for Haynesville.
EnSight drilled Haynesville Sand well on that about 3 years ago. It was a deal I promoted and kept working interest in.
Thank you Mr.Sanders , I appreciate the information. Nice to hear about a straight arrow , even if it would be a conflict.I will contact Mr. Fleming next week. Would certainly love to have you on board if that ever appears to be something that would interest you. Have a great weekend.
snakestewart, Even though I live in AZ I still think I belong in Shongaloo. Since we all share a common interest I want to be as fully involved as possible. I am going to be in Shongaloo/Haynesville/Springhill area for about 2 weeks starting on 8/24. I hope to be able to meet some of people on this site then. I am looking for a pumping unit for shallow (3000 ft.) well which was abandoned by bankrupt Co. in 1994. Anyone know where I can get one cheap?
Let me call a few of the boys.
