Looks like another very early in post frac flowback IP test. Only 4.6% oil cut at this point in flowback. It will be interesting to see production info over time on this well.
What makes you say that? Looks like it is mostly frac water flow back. How many days did it flow before this report was filed?
It doesn't look good for the St. Helena well

PERFORATIONS
Not necessarily. If a spudder rig was used, the 4038' depth may have been all it was intended to drill. If so, the well would be waiting on another rig capable of drilling the full MD including the lateral.

Skip - sorry for stepping on your spudder rig comment / I was typing my response without looking at your response to the same subject
That's okay, RM. You know you can delete and edit replies once posted? I think there is a fifteen minute period for that.
I think that operator here just moved in a spudder rig to drill surface hole and set casing. Then release this rig and bring in the bigger and more expensive rig to drill the deep part of the hole.
Some significant cost savings in doing this. This has become a common industry practice

After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
