Thx for posting Jay,  I know exactly where that unit will be just off Hwy 167 north of turkey creek.  Don’t see any depths on application, can’t wait to see permit on depth and lateral.  HC

Yes, I know Wendell (I knew him as Joffery) was a character.  He was a fraternity brother of mine at LSU.  Yvie Poret lives in Baton Rouge but I have not heard from him in a long time.  Yvie was a retired Lt Col from the USAF, I saw him at Andrews AFB, Washington D.C. about a month before he retired.  I was on the promotion list for Full Colonel and ended up serving five more years of active duty.  He and his bride went home to Louisiana while I trucked on to Europe again and then back to California.  Man, that was a long time ago as I have been retired now for 14 years and retired from the USAF for 28 years.  Tempus Fugit - Time Flies!

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
