We talked with Scott Moore. He works for Scull Timber. The main office if out of Tenaha, TX. I don't have a number for them, but they should be easy to find.

Teacher,
Can you give me a forestry contact? We have about 60 acres of timber that we need harvested in DeSoto, Shreveport, and Waskom. We are about to start looking in the yellow pages and online since we have never done this before. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My mother's land is at the corner of Ragley road and FM 999. Sorry, I don't know the road #. It's not far from FM 1971 though. Did you get a confirmation on the 12K leases and where they are located? That could be some valuable information when it comes time for bargaining.

My email is: edukador@sbcglobal.net

Please contact me if would like to get in touch with her. She has a brother and sister who also have unleased land there.

William Taylor. We have 2 different people who have comfirmed 12K/acre within 1-2 miles of us. One was with Comstock, the other with Chesapeake.

Dawn, I live s. of lake murval around caledonia. This is Haynesville Shale county. Its been confirmed by Goodrich Petroleum in their Minden Field, and Chesapeake Energy's full page ads in the Timpson Tx paper. If you haven't signed a lease yet you might want to hold off until Chesapeake gives their production numbers for that J. Loose survey well on FM 1971 (in my survey). Leasing out here is Chesapeake of course, PetroHawk, Goodrich, Deven. I signed months ago for the standard 250 acre lol. I'll make it up with royalty production though lol. What survey are you in?

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
