AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |

Hi Henry, are you a landman? Have you done any work in Vernon Parish?
Henry, just heard yesterday of the offer moving to $400/$350 for a 3+2 primary term. I bet the option will not be triggered.
Henry Cenla and Pride are the same and we think they are working for EOG or Encana.
Henry please keep my posts closed to just me and you and I will do the same for your post to me.
Henry sorry for not getting back to you sooner but I have been in a run since last week. I don't think that Cenla is working for Indigo. I was reading some posts in early February and they thought they were working for EOG. Now I am hearing rumors that Pride is working for EOG. I have a call into my Boss to see if he knows who Cenla is working for. Which side of the river is this property on? 3N-!E includes Kolin and Ruby on the North side of the river. Someone is shooting seismic in Ruby. One of my Lessors is dealing this week with someone with Indigo named Robertson on a 40 acre tract at Kolin. He said that he had Martin Timber land all around him and he figured that Indigo was filling in holes around the Martin property. With Martin owning 50% of Indigo you can bet that they want to have the lions share of any unit. Their offer to him was $400 and 1/4. Across the river in Poland a lady that I helped out from getting screwed on one of those $50 option leases just leased, i think to Pride for $400 & 1/4 and another lady with the same kind of deal took the offer from Pride over Indigo but said that Pride offered her $12000 for a drill site location where indigo offered $3000. You know that is a BS compromise if you ain't gonna be the drill site, you could have gave her a million dollars. Glad I don't have the competition in what I am doing, I even bought a lease from one of the uncles of a part owner of Pride on 542 acres on I-49 at the Lecompte/Forest Hill exit. He didn't know who Pride was working for but I told him that I thought they may be working for Anadarko back at the end of September but he later came back after letting him sit on the back burner for over a month because his nephew was coaching him through my deal and told me that his nephew told him that they were not working for Anadarko. He kept pushing me on the $100 a year deal and cost free royalty but I won the battle at $300, 1/4, for 5 years, with no cost free royalty. The company that I am buying leases for is the most honest company that I have ever worked for. They hold strong in the way they do biz and try to do their best in not giving one person one thing and someone something else. If competition comes in then that can be a deal changer but that is explainable to the Lessors.
Hopefully you can share some of your insite with us.
If nothing else we are usually at the very least a group of entertaining individuals.
