Hey. I will talk to Kerry as soon as I find the time. I sold my house in town yesterday, for only $15K. I was ready to let it go. I didnt know if a lot 75ft. X 210ft with a 3 bdrm house on it would be worth hanging on to just for the mineral rights? I was told probably wasnt going to amount to much, and I hated the property just sitting there. My mom has been gone sense 2003, I held on to it for long enough.
Do you have a another email address? I would like to talk to you about this property here, but not on this site. Email me at shotgun928@aol.com. thanks

Hey Mark..its your neighbor. I use to be your housekeeper. I have not leased my 20 acres yet! We are just getting through with my dad's succession. I also own a lot with a house on it in town, dont know if the comapnies are leasing lots with homes on them & in town. Do you know anything about leasing lots/land in town? Sorry to here you leased yours earlier from that landman that was going around. Alot of people got taken advantage of. Wish there was a way for you guys to get out of those leases. Just seems like that would be against the law somehow, kinda like 'insider trading.'

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
