We were leased with KCS and thankfully it expired July 19 at midnight.
We have been approached by Continental Resources for $1,250 per acre for 3 years with 25% Royalty. They are insisting on keeping the 2 year extension clause in the lease that would require them to pay us the same terms if they choose to extend for two years. 5 Years is a very long time and who knows what the per acre rate will be in 3 years...so we are deciding what to do as a family.
