Shaler,

I just wanted to drop you a note to wish you a blessed Thanksgiving. In terms of this website, indeed, I am thankful for the activity this site gets everyday. For example, consider the countries from where people visited GHS this past month. Finland, Kuwait, Uruguay, South Korea, Cyprus, Congo [Republic], Lebanon, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Spain, Serbia, Denmark, Guam, Tunisia, Ukraine, Jamaica, Benin, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Romania, Morocco, Macedonia, Russia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, South Africa. Talk about reach!

I am thankful for site members that make this a very interesting site to log onto. For site members that have lent their passion, expertise and experiences to the pages of GHS. I'm just a guy with a website who happens to have 12,300+ friends. Friends who have taken the time to either browse or contribute. So a big thanks to all of you!

Most of all, I am thankful for these three people? I have a wife who supports me. A little 3 year old who never wants me to go anywhere without her and a happy and healthy 6 month old who always has a ready smile.

As many of you know, our family has had a tough year with the loss my brother-in-law. I know many of you have experienced difficult challenges as well with the loss of love ones, loss of jobs, financial challenges, and health issues. However for me, and I hope for you too, God's provision and comfort remain steadfast.

Thank you all. They say he opened his eyes and moved fingers. Doctors are encouraged. His dad is still up there. He is in the U of Penn hospital, so I am confident he has good care. Again, I know these prayers and positive thoughts are helping.

some encouraging news this morning. The Neurologist came in for a visit and exam this morning. He clapped his hands loudly in Scotts ear and his eyes opened. He was able to follow the doctors pen light for a few seconds before falling back into a coma. He said that was a very encouraging sign.
Lungs are all clear now and all other vital functions are normal.
Prayers do help. Lots to give thanks for.
Bless you Keith. You really have a lot of love in your life.

Shalers
Please pray for my cousin Scott Carter from Tyler. Scott was critically injured in a drilling rig accident in Penn earlier this week. He is in the University of Pittsburg hospital in a coma. Some drill pipe fell on him somehow and he was injured. He has a broken femur bone in his leg that is causing fat embolisms from the bone marrow to enter his bloodstream and lodge in his brain. He is showing very little signs of any brain function and the doctors there don't have any idea of when or if he will regain consciousness. His family is with him. Its going to take a miracle, so send out your most positive thoughts. He is a very good young man, with a wife and two small children. He comes from a long line of family in the oil patch business-his sister, dad, uncles, grandfather, and great-grandfather, from all parts of Louisana, Texas, Arkansas, Alaska and Oklahoma, onshore and offshore.

To Keith and all my fellow Shalers, I wish a great and plentiful Thanksgiving. May the blessings we have been given continue . May our families, friends, and those protecting our liberty enjoy this Thanksgiving no matter where they are. Here are a couple of quotes that sum it all up:

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice. ~Meister Eckhart

If a fellow isn't thankful for what he's got, he isn't likely to be thankful for what he's going to get.
~Frank A. Clark
Enjoy your Thankgiving and may you, your friends and family all be safe, warm, and toting full a full tummy at days end! Blessings to all my fellow Shalers, all of whom I consider my friends!
