House Republican Leadership Taps Congressman Fleming to Join American Energy Solutions Group

WASHINGTON, DC—House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-IN) announced today the appointment of Congressman John Fleming to the House GOP American Energy Solutions Group. This group of House Republicans is tasked with crafting Republican solutions to lower energy prices for both American families and small businesses.

“Louisiana currently supplies 25% of the nation’s energy and enjoys over 300,000 good paying jobs from the oil and gas industry. Dr. Fleming understands the importance of reducing our dependence on foreign oil and continuing to expand our domestic supply,” said Leader John Boehner. “ Sitting on the Haynesville Shale - potentially the largest natural gas reservoir in the world - Dr. Fleming has worked tirelessly to promote natural gas as an answer to bridging this country into new era of energy use. He will make an excellent addition to this task force and I look forward to working with him.”

“I look forward to working with Rep. Fleming and other key House Republicans to develop a policy that ensures energy independence without raising taxes.” Pence said. “Rep. Fleming is an important asset to the House GOP American Energy Solutions Group and will be a great ally as we work to ensure our nation’s families are not punished with higher energy costs.”

“Energy equals jobs in Northwest Louisiana. It is crucial for the stability of our economy and the future prosperity for our families. I look forward to working with other members of the House GOP American Energy Solutions Group to create policies that will foster energy independence and allow for maximum opportunity for the Haynesville Shale.”

Congressman John Fleming represents Louisiana’s 4th Congressional District and sits on the House Armed Services and Natural Resources Committees.

Will be keeping an eye on AES Group. I'm still looking for that alternate plan for the stimulus/bailout issue that Fleming mentioned previously. It was mentioned when he spoke out about those "mice protections."

Thanks H & Best - sesport :0)
