DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY INPUT REGARDING THIS ISSUE BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO BE A GROWING PROBLEM WITH THE LOCAL BROKERS IN NWL? IT'S UNBELIEVABLE JUST HOW THESE GUYS ARE CONTROLLING "INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS" AS EMPLOYEES. THEY USE SCARE TACTICS THAT ACTUALLY WORK WITH MOST OF THE "NEWBIES" TO THE INDUSTRY. PEOPLE ARE SCARED FOR THEIR JOBS SO THEY CONFORM TO THE "COMPANY RULES" JUST TO SAVE FACE, INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY MAKING A STAND FOR WHAT IS "LEGALLY" MORAL. I WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS BEEN FACED WITH WHAT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON TACTIC OF ABUSE DIRECTED TOWARD THE INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS IN THIS INDUSTRY AND IF SO, I'M CURIOUS TO HEAR OTHER STORIES. I WANT TO KNOW HOW THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS SO EASILY AND EVEN MORESO, WHY DOESN'T SOMEONE MAKE A STAND FOR WHAT IS ETHICALLY CORRECT. ONE OF THE FIRST STATEMENTS EVER MADE TO ME WHEN I FIRST STARTED IN THIS INDUSTRY WAS THE FACT THAT THIS IS NOT A PUNCH THE CLOCK JOB AND THAT YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT IN TO IT. I PAY UNCLE SAM A LARGE CHUNK OF CHANGE ANNUALLY, NOT TO MENTION, MY CPA AND I AM TIRED OF THE ABUSE. THE 8-5 DRAMA NEEDS TO CEASE. HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY TAKEN THE TIME TO CHECK OUT THE U.S. DEPT. OF LABOR LAWS?
