Evidently there is a dparker.

I am from Bossier and am spending too much time on here already. I don't have time for another name to post under.

I do wish the best for his group. I'm just glad he didn't leave the site.

When I got his message I went looking to where he had been. I read the whole deal and can see why he deleted me.

I don't take it personal.

I keep getting people stirred up on my own.

All companies that have anything to do with the oil field like Halliburton, BJ services, Schulmberger do the frac jobs and cement jobs. any company that has drilling rigs (Nomac drilling llc 100 carlyle circle marshall tx ph# 903 934 9301) will need rough necks, drillers, tool pushers, company men etc,

Cheasapeake is supposed to be opening a large field office in Shreveport in the near future they are supposed to hire around 9,000 . I don't know of any thing concerning the Medical field they would need. But you can always check with them.

cheasapeake (318-949-4051)

petrohawk (318-987-3377)

EOG resources inc (318-949-9101).

Hopefully this will help you get started good luck to you and your family. Wish that I could be of more assistance.

Hey, KH,

Well, I went to the SHGLC meeting lastnight and I must say it was the most impersonal of all meetings I've ever attended. Was very brief with absolutely no questions taken from the membership. A "draft" lease was handed out which, in my opinion, had several items that needed discussion. I plan on making a post about it to the main board on this website soon.

I guess the group's leaders were trying to avoid a chaotic scene (like the last meeting) by not allowing questions from the floor, but it left me even more UNimpressed with their leadership.

When membership numbers per Section were being given during Janet's speech, she totally skimmed over Section 15 and several people asked out loud "How many in Section 15?" and their question was ignored. At the end of the meeting (which lasted 30 minutes) a line formed, but you could tell the "leadership" wasn't really planning on addressing questions, though they did seem to reluctantly answer a few from the people gathered.

I'm still keeping my options open at this point. SWSHC is still taking applications, according to their website this morning, so who knows, maybe I'll go that route. I just need to see if SHGLC plans on revising this lease of theirs.

The upsetting thing about the SHGLC was how it has been promoted as a "member-driven" group where your input matters, but then we were all told that questions would have to be submitted in writing and that some of them may or may not be addressed at the next meeting.. Ugh!

I'll keep you informed. And I also plan on posting here, some questions about the lease they plan on using. It has some pretty ridiculous things in it (in favor of the oil companies) and several important omissions, like "Environmental Compliance" and Noise Provisions: things you don't want to leave out of a lease.

Hi Section 9

Well, I did say I wasn't too impressed with our steering committee, but when compared to the other two groups I checked out, including SWSHC, it just seemed that perhaps the membership at the Southern Hills group has more input and say-so. And maybe that can help in causing the steering committee to get more on the ball with their research. Also, I don't think my section (15) is well represented in SWSHC. There's also the possibility of forced pooling for those of us in Section 15 who didn't originally sign on with Camterra back in March. From what I've heard, Camterra has the 75% they need as it stands right now. I don't know if our section has much of a fighting chance at all now.

I know people have said negative things about the 4% fee of SWSHC, but I'm not one of those people. I think it's worth it if everything is taken care of properly. And like I said before in my posts, they have the numbers, and that really matters.

What I don't know yet is whether or not the Southern Hills group will continue to grow or join with other groups, like Section 11 for example, or even be much benefit to my section. They do seem somewhat concentrated on Section 10. Maybe I'll find out more this afternoon during the meeting.

Take care,

PH
