In La. the landowner has a right to see the well log. Don't know about ARK? If someone knows the landowner in southern Columbia where this 11000 ft. well is being drilled it may be the only way ya'll will ever know if the shale is present. That is the way most seem to be finding out down here.
What I heard today from a friend that called me was it is south of the river bridge on the Dutch John road which will be around the Motor Cross track or beyond it...He didn't mention the names you gave me. It was the old name of the place. He didn't know if there was an actual ck. passing hands. He did believe it was the LS developement that signed the owners which tells me what I need to know. Dont worry about the O&G...they will be back. I didn't have anything before all this and have nothing to lose by being patient! Ten years and 20 counties later they are still leasing in the Barnett shale!!!!!
Allen is this is Lone Star Land Developement..they aren't actually giving any money to my knowledge....just trying to flip leases. I really hope you find there is someone else who will actually hand landowners a good check
I know the h. shale is there. Will it be productive in paying quantities? No one knows limits of shale yet. Therefore, until the test it with drill bit I am going to believe it will be productive.
Don't let Pittboss quell your hopes that maybe you will be in the Shale in Benton. I hope that you are. I don't know who the person is but he is very active on the website Tigerdroppings in their thread on the Haynesville Shale. That group keeps referring to us on this site and not very smart rednecks. Pittboss wants to feel superior and now he is coming to this site to belittle people.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
