Bruce, Couldn't help but notice the Mouser 7 well (in the minden field) was "restored" on 1/3. What all does that entail?

Bruce. I know you are relatively new to the site and understand that you were not around for the many earlier discussions about the extent of the Haynseville Shale. If you do not believe me when I state that the Haynesville is sand, not shale in your area, I suggest that you asked other members with industry back grounds. I specifically suggest Aubrey Sanders Jr. Mr. Sanders is a geologist and owns minerals in your area. He has a number of wells drilled by a variety of companies. He has posted his opinion that the Shale does not exist in north central LA. on several occasions. I understand the disappointment of those who hoped for the possibilities of a Shale Payday but it is obvious that your area is sand. I wish the Haynesville Shale could go on in all directions forever however but it can not. Regards, Skip

I tried to reply to the messages you sent without success. Skip wasn't very positive about the shale in our neck of the woods. I only hope he is badly wrong.

Bruce. Thanks for the kind words. It is gratifying to know that many members appreciate my participation on the site. And tends to make up for those who do not. LOL! Regards, Skip

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
