I would suggest that you talk to attorney Randall Davidson at (318) 424-4342. Even if you handle all of the negotiations yourself you want a good attorney to make sure that your document says what the gas company states it says. Mr. Davidson is rated AV in oil and gas, which is the highest rating that an attorney can receive. Kassi is also using him.
I see that you are in Texas, but Louisiana law is quite different, make sure that you get someone who practices law in Louisiana even if it is not Mr. Davidson.

The Chesapeake landman that is handling my lease is in Lafayette. He is with Paramount Energy, 337-233-2929. You may have to contact Chesapeake first and see if you will be assigned to Paramount or Red River Leasing.
