The Forestar Com #1H spudded on Friday, last, just south of Yellowpine. It isn't a Haynesville well but it is still good news for the county. Wish them good luck and a productive oil well. They already have a second well permitted and a third planned.

Hope it is a good one!!
amen brother.
Good news. Hope it's just the start of things for y'all there in Sabine Co!
San Augustine is cheering for Sabine County!!!!
I have minerals in the Eli Low survey near this well. If anyone knows who is leasing for Lacy now I'd like to know who they are and where to find them.
That's about what I would expect. I hope they won't expect an all depths lease for that price, though. Thanks, I'll be in touch.
hey jffreel1 or rick,
have either of you heard any updates on this lacy well?
I heard they found oil and gas both. Then I was told that it was shut it while they work on the gathering system down there. Apparently it has been neglected (unused?) for a long time and was not in good repair.
I also heard there are two more pads staked on the east side of 87 across from this well.
thank you jffree1. in the past there were some very nice wells around this area Sabine Island and all. some had greater than 100,000 bbls of county production with old technology, Texaco was very active.
East Texas Drilling Report 2-13-10
Sabine County

The Forester Com Well No.1H has been completed seven miles southeast of Hemphill in the Hemphill Field. Lacy Operations, Ltd. has completed this well to a depth of 10,648-feet and flowed with 739.5 barrels of crude when gauged on a 18/64-inch choke. Production is in the Saratoga Annona formation.
Any sense as to what the testing period is for that report?

If that 739.5 barrels of the IP report is a daily figure or averaged daily figure than it looks to be a pretty damn good well.
