Encana - Olympia Minerals 1H (240711) Section 1 - 8N - 12W, Bayou San Miguel Field, Sabine Parish. There are now HA horizontal permits in 8N - 14W, 13W and 12W. These wells will provide the first indications of the productive shale in northern Sabine. Good Luck to All.

Skip, do you have any info on S14 - T8 - R13? Our family has lots of acreage down there. Thanks for your input.
Vonda. SWEPI has HA units in Sections 1 & 2 of 8N - 13W but no wells. Comstock has no units but one non-unitized well the Sustainable Forest 3 HZ (240372) with surface location in Section 10 but drilling into Section 3. This well has finished drilling the lateral and should be fracing soon. Hopefully Comstock will release the results in another 6 weeks or so and hopefully those results are good.
Thanks Skip. We are hoping for the best. When I drive through Noble at night I love to look at the pretty lights from the Sustainable Forest well. Hope to see one of those pretty sights go up soon on our land which happens to be on both sides of Hwy 171 in Noble. I monitor this site daily and educate myself with lots of knowledgeable information. Always look forward to reading your posts. Again, thanks.
Skip,
Is this the well you reported on the Main Page that encountered a problem yesterday? Do you have an update on what happened, hope nothing serious.
No, waltcop. The well that blew out and/or started to sink (both rumors have been around) was a Forest Oil Corp. well in 8N - 14W just west of Noble. I haven't heard any follow up reports, In fact the article in the Sunday Times this morning was exactly the same as the one that was first published about 9:30 last night on shreveporttimes.com.
