i guess thats the word they were told to get out and get out quick! they would be moving alarger rig in within a week. i guess thats good news huh?
What's the big deal? The Kardell 1H is 18500 ft.
That included the horizontal section of the Kardell not just the vertical depth.
That is true ALongview but the Kardell was permitted both vertical and horizontal, remember?
Good point.
Both are drilling now. Butler Rooney #1 spud on Jan. 1 and Owens #1H spud on Jan. 13.
Looks like they have moved all equipment out.
they are extending the pad 350' east and 350' to the north, new rig expected first week of march
We are close to the Owens well & several others in the area when at our home in San Augustine County. But keeping up on O&G news is easier from home in Lufkin with DSL.

What is the best way to get fast internet in NW San Augustine County ?
If DSL isn't available then Satellite is probably the next best. I have tried Wireless Internet through AT&T and access was sporadic and unreliable in South Sabine Co. but it depends on how close you are to a tower as to how strong a signal you get and it also depends on how much traffic that tower handles. I added an antenna and booster to the house and it helped with cell phone reception but wireless internet was problematic. We finally got DSL.

My brother, just down the road from me, has satellite internet and is very happy with it.
My Son's I-Pod with AT@T is sporadic with internet too, I'll check on Satellite service.

Thanks
Research Hughes Net and Wild Blue, both are satellite internet services.
