Hopefully this will serve as a central site for all mineral lease activity in Sabine County. Please record any information that will be helpful for other mineral owners.

Two recent bits of information should be of interest.

I have heard from a reliable source that several thousand acres have been leased in the Geneva and Milam areas. The price per acre was around $6000.00

Another reliable source has told me that 3 or 4 hundred acres was leased near the Pendelton bridge for $10,000.00 per acre.

This would indicate that prices to lease minerals are continuing to climb.

Thanks for the follow up.
I had to follow up. ETL was not to blame for reporting bad information...I was.
i pretty sure i know who this was and if it was, they had 3-4,000 acres over
several counties. Chespeak leases on most of it just the deep rights, because their leases were mostly hbp by other operators but had depth clauses . and you are right about the bonus paid, i have heard even higher
amounts
I am wondering where in Sabine County/Shelby county line the 1000 acre ranch is located. Do we know if it is near what is known as the "9 mile road", or how close it may be to Hwy. 87, or Patroon Creek.
I don't know where for sure, Bettie, but I will try to find out.
Concerning the 17k/acre, was that Dr. Haley's land at Tebo? I understand he has significant land holdings in the area and his Tebo Ranch (in which I have a small number of mineral acres) straddles SA and Sabine counties line.
Any Sabine county news today??
Anyone know what O&G Companies have leasing offices in Sabine County? Names and phone numbers? Thanks.
DJ Energy 409-787-1048
any idea who DJ Energy is?
They are leasing for Devon.
What are the latest offers from Devon. I know several people who signed for $6,000 an acre and 25%. But they had not received money last I heard.
