Today, St Mary Land & Exploration had a permit approved for the Hinton well in the J English survey. Under the category "Well Type" they have Injection Well and on down a comment about being approved by the environmental services before drilling. The well is pooled with a P12 list and states the Bossier shale field. What kind of well is this?

It is most likely an error (someone checked the wrong box). Chesapeake had one like that a couple of weeks ago and it was changed to GAS when it was approved.

I heard today that Ellora paid $2000 an acre for a tract of land across from Welcome Hall on FM2694. It is about a mile east of the Ellington well. I think they had some competition on the offers and had to pay that much to get the lease. They had the lease previously and wanted to extend it. Must be planning another well in that area.

D. Gaar......I'm new to this group and trying to learn the Texas Haynesville. If I look at the link for the new well permits, I notice the information provided does not include the Survey and Abstract #. If I wanted to try to spot the various new well permits on a wall map of Shelby County, how would be the easiest way to find the Survey name and Abstract # of the new wells? I have not tried to venture into the R. R. Commisstion web site as I understand that compared to Sonris in Louisiana, it is difficult to master. If I have to, however, I will!

If you open up the attached Word document and then control click on the lease/well name it should open up W-1 form page for that particular well on the TX RRC website.

Once you have that page opened up, you can click on the "Map" button in the "API#" field and that will open up a seperate window that locates the well on the TxRRC's GIS Map. Using the zoom out button can then give you some perspective as to where each respective well is located.

would anybody mind sharing what they have recently received as bonus per mineral acre? there is a site around a mile away from the ellington ellora that i have interest in.

also what sort of royalty interest. in and above the shale.
