I received pre-application notice from Onebane Law Firm (Lafayette) that Cheasapeake is holding a hearing and intends to unitize section 4 in 8-N,13-W.
We are 25-9-13 and talked to the ppl our lease went through for Chesapeake to make sure they had our mailing address changed, which they didn't. But anyway, they said that there's not much of anything going on in our block and that they "still had some work to do" there before any drilling would be planned. Anyone know what that means???

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
