The surveying folks came out week before last and spent several days working around my house. Some guy had called and said that they wanted drill a well in Sec 27, T 10N R 11W which is where I am. The surveyors staked a location just north of me on some property owned by Crest Natural Resources. I am not sure if they have the minerals as this land was owned by Ronnie Broadway. It seems that the location will be some 550' south and 1660' east of the n/w corner of the section. They have also painted the highway down (east of) from the house for the entrance road. This road will go across me to get into the well location.

They are surveying what appears a pipeline right of way coming from the south (in what appears to be from Benton Johnson's Area) going north, crossing Hwy 174 and along the west side of The Patrick Road. This line seems to continue north and crosses La 175 near the Sabine-Desoto Parish Line. Along the proposed R/W at what used to be Dewitt Patrick's Dairy, there are a lot of stakes. East of this point (??? 1 mile) lies The Proud Mary Property which is the NE 1/4 of Sec 22 T10N R11W. I understand there is discussion of laying a 20" pipeline across it going east to Hwy 1. My assumption is that this line (Patrick Road line ) will be connected in some way with this east-west line.

I am not sure about any of this. All I know is that every time a large rig truck passes and hits these canyons in the highway my dog barks. As soon as I see the first deposit slip off the well, I'm going to get a muzzle or a bark collar.
Rumor has it that SWEPI L.P. has planned drilling on Sec4,T9N-R11w. Anyone know? This section was just unitized.
best,
Steve B.
i think every section that encana/ shell has leased will be drilled as long as the wells continue to be productive.
They drilled one well in this section last November. Still waiting to here some numbers from it though. Heard that they are just waiting on the pipeline. Maybe they are going to drill another one in that section. I sure wont complain... Dont know where the just unitized came from though. It was done a couple years ago.
Steve, this is unit and well Gambler mentioned.

Guy's...my bad... I wanted to post (S2)T9N R11W not S4. Sec. 2 was just unitized. I've heard other rumors also...but...none confirmed yet. My extended family has 6/7th of 90 acres here that is unleased (no offers so far).

best,
Steve B.
Any activity or production in 31-10N-12W? I've got some unleased minerals. Thanks,
Ed, this well has been drilled and is waiting on completion.

Great, Thanks Les!
does anybody know anything about the well in section 10,9n,r12w.
I passed by Rosey Lane yesterday and there was a rig up but there was no sign identifying the name of the rig. I don't know how long the rig has been up since I haven't passed that way in a while. The Free Road is passable now.
