today I received an offer from a co. in ok. for a term royalty deed , this is new to me  and it looks bad for my interest. I would like some imput . It calls my interest a non-participating royalty interest.

hey robert. i'm not sure how a N/P royalty works either. i can do some checking and you may also put this on the main page as it is of general intrest. is this offer from the same company as your lease is with?

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
