That's an interesting permit, considering the press release they put out today:

In the Haynesville/Bossier Shale Play, the Company has also announced that it has entered into agreements to drill to earn an approximate 58% average leasehold interest in 7,300 gross (4,200 net) acres primarily in Shelby and northern Sabine Counties, Texas. The Company expects all of the acquired acreage to be prospective for both the Haynesville and Middle Bossier Shale. There is no upfront cash consideration, with an estimated $9.6 million or $2,285 per net acre in carried drilling costs, all of which is included in the Company's 2010 capital expenditure budget. With the acquisitions, the Company's Haynesville Shale acreage inventory includes approximately 89,500 net acres.

ijjree1---very interesting any ideal who they are JV this with in shelby county ?
Not yet... we are asking the same thing in Sabine. I'll let you know if anyone turns up some solid information.
most likely with some one who had leases HBP in the Joaquin Travis Peak field. KCS had a lot of acres which was brought out by Petrohawk few years ago.
Here's the permit info for the Goodrich/R.Dean Hay DU 1-H well:

Did you notice the last statement on the bottom right of page 86 (I think) about a recent test of the CV Lime in Shelby Co.? Now I have to go hunt for that!
jffreel-not trying to create work for ya..just adding info :)
jjffree1, I don't mind RBH creating work for you at all! I'd love for you to find that CV/Haynesville Lime well and tell me which survey it is in! I hope it turns out to be a monster!
I'm just kidding, RBH. I'm a compulsive hunter of well information, LOL!

SB, it is intriguing. But knowing how long it takes for TRRC to post pertinent information... it may be a long wait. That is, unless the E&P needs to make a splashy press release to pump their stock price up. We can only hope...
I did look at Forest Oil's permits and they have one with a surface location in Texas(huxley/bridges filed area) under Toledo bend into Louisiana that will be an interesting deep test.
