has anyone ever been able to predict what kind of royalty they will get from a well??? i have used some of the royalty calculators and have never been able to get a number that makes since. everything is either way to high or way to low. any help would be appreciated
Ok,How many acres of the section do you have and what is your royalty (most folks have 25% royalty).
Is your production unit a 640 acre unit?

lets say you own 21 acres in a 640 acre section and your royalty is 25%:
21 divided by 640 times 25% equals .0082031
you get .0082031of every cubic foot the well makes.

Lets say it makes 10 million cubic feet per day:
Since gas is sold by the thousand cubic feet you get10,000,000 divided by 1000 equals 10,000 times .0082031 equals 82.031 thousand cubic feet
so at $5.00 per thousand cubic feet you get 82.031 times $5.00 equals $410.16 per day times 30 days you would get$12,304.65 per month.
Then you need to know if you have to pay for transportation and treating.
Jack Blakes lease is price at the wellhead with no charge for treating or transportation.
wow you guessed pretty close.. i have 26.62 acres in a 640 acre unit. and a 25% royalty i was told it is flowing at 9 million a day but have not been able to confirm it. so looks like some pretty good money should come from the well. i am not sure about the transportation and treating so i will have to check into that part
That's great a 9mmcf/d well! Jack Blake's HS well is currently being fracked. Hopefully it will be that good.
They say the decline curve is steep initially, but the wells could have a very long life cycle.
Gigantic royalty checks for all shreiked Jack Blake
We are not the typical land owner or atleast we don't do what most landowners do. We have for example in one section, 48 acres or 7.5 percent of the section, divide 48 by 640. anyway we are unleased and will come back in after payout, we have done the same thing with our cotton valley stuff, AND CHECK this out the section where we have 48 acres, there are 5 horizontals already all in this section. Two zipper fracs going going north )which equates to 4 wells. and one well going south. And wells in this area average 23mil'per day. IT's 14n 12w - we KIK ASSSSSSSSSSS
Wahoooo!!! That will be amazing money. At 23 mmcf/d a well should pay out in just a few months! Jack Blake imagines all the good things he could do with that cheese.......Amazing howled Jack Blake
bunch of short squeezing going on, poor hedgies
What in the world are we up looking at this site at 3:30 on a Saturday morning?
