I had a call about leasing land near Bernice yesterday. The agent was non commital about drilling depth, but finally guessed at the Smackover field. So much for agents knowing or saying anything.
I had found a map showing the different fortmations in N. La. but can't find it now. Any help?
Don,
I just asked Mary if she is dealing with Pine Belt and I will ask you the same question??????
I have been negotiating with Pine Belt on some of my acreage.
Jim
me, too. with pinebelt. how are you doing????? did mary answer? judy
sorry it's taken me so long to reply...yes..I have just signed a lease with pinebelt..i trust my landman...my Dad is a retired oil and gas attorney...he helped write my lease with pinebelt. I feel confident that i got the best deal possible and feel im protected.
Mary, I know absolutely nothing about this stuff but have been reading all of the blogs, internet, etc trying to educate myself. We own in Farmerville, Union Parish and have received contact from Pinbelt as well. I like you, do not plan on being greedy and you seem to have great resources with dad being O/G atty... Would you mind sharing more facts in regard to your settlement. If so, I'd be happy to give you my personal email address.

Thanks, Red
mary, do you mind answering how much acreage? we haVE quite a bit and was wondering if you do, too, and maybe that's why you got good price and interest. if so, we could push a little for better terms.....but not too much....ha. judy my email is judyhastedt@gmail.com
Jim,
My brother is acting as our contact and mentioned Pinebelt. I have not seen any documents to confirm that. Will update when I know more.
Don
hi, so how are you doing with Pinbelt? judy
After consulting an attorney we have presented selected changes and amendments and are now waiting for a reply.Don
we/ve added provisions, too. no salt water dumping was one. pugh clause and cleaning up, another. limited minerals, releasing tracts sooner, keeping machinery quiet, paying for timber and maybe a coupla more. how did you do moneywise? my e-mail is judyhastedt@gmail.com. judy
Is this from Munoco? Has anyone heard from Munoco?
yes, i believe my friend was approached by them while they were trying to lease a small acreage from his friend. this supposed lease man said they were paying more that pinebelt, but not much, and he didn't seem as legit as pinebelt. however, my friend with larger interest said he called them back after inital conversation and the dude said, yeah, we pay more but don't need any more land. SO WHY GET IT STARTED???? a jerk, maybe. anyway, i think they are not really anything to do with murphy but may be claiming so. now, you have to consider that the source is me....lol.......judy BUT , i believe this is right
