By my estimates, these last 36 units bring SWEPI up to about 100 proposed units in Northern Sabine/Southern DeSoto. Yes, they are the force to be reckoned with in this area. Can we find out how they plan to drill....
Horizontal or vertical? When? With only a few rigs, it would have to take some time to plow through all 100 units. Does anyone have some sense of how long this will take?
A spokesman for swepi said 9 rig's up and running next year, drilling horiz. , i would not advise any one to quit their day job !!
how long does it take to drill a horizontal with the expected problems that will arise?
Jack, the harris 19 started around july 15 and is still ongoing. My understanding is shell is safer and goes slower. I would think it will be one drilling per 640 acre's for some time to come..... I guess the french rivera will just have to wait!!
Who is SWEPI ? I'm sorry if I sound ignorant to this, but I don't know this company.
SHELL/ENCANA
Jo Ann, SWEPI is Shell but they are in a joint venture with EnCana. No apology necessary
I would think Shell Western Exploration & Production Inc.
I really don't understand all the technical jumbo. Would this include Section 15, T 7N, Range 13?
KC, I have not seen any units further south than T8N, Ranges 11W, 12W & 13W.
Thanks Les B.
